Grand Forks Public is pleased to announce Tonya Palmer as Information Services Supervisor.

Tonya has nearly 17 years of experience at Grand Forks Public, with steadily increasing responsibility, peer mentoring and training experience, and excellent problem-solving and people skills.
Library Director Wendy Wendt shares, “Tonya brings a positive, can-do attitude to everything she does and has the trust of everyone who works with her.”
In the early 2000s, Tonya volunteered at the library before joining the team in 2004. She has worked in the then-Reference department as an aide, and then as an associate. When the Reference and Circulation departments combined in 2018, she became an Information Services Senior Associate. Through the years, Tonya has worn a variety of hats, including publishing a library newsletter, planning events, teaching computer classes, ordering books and music, and troubleshooting our computer system.
When asked what she’s most excited about in this role, Tonya shares, “Trying out new ideas, both mine and my co-workers’. I want to see what the library will become, and I want to be a part of it.”
